Nutritional Standards

Fallhaven ISD adheres to the latest nutritional guidelines set by the USDA, ensuring that our meals are:

• Rich in Fruits and Vegetables: We serve a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables daily.
• Whole Grains: All bread and pasta options are whole grain-rich.
• Low-Fat Dairy: Only fat-free or low-fat milk is offered.
• Balanced Portions: Meals are portioned according to age and dietary needs, minimizing saturated fats, trans fats, and sodium.

Meal Offerings

Our menus include a wide range of options to cater to diverse dietary needs:

• Daily Hot Meals: Including protein, grains, and vegetables.
• Vegetarian Options: Available every day to accommodate dietary preferences.
• A La Carte Choices: Snacks and beverages that meet federal Smart Snack regulations.

Special Dietary Needs

We understand that some students may have specific dietary requirements. To accommodate these needs:

• Dietary Accommodations: Parents can fill out a Request for Dietary Accommodations Form for students with allergies or other medical conditions. This form must be signed by a physician and submitted to our Child Nutrition Department.

Educational Benefits Program

We encourage all families to apply for the Educational Benefits Program. Completing this application can provide critical funding for our district, enhancing resources for teachers and support staff. Approved applications also allow families to receive discounted fees for activities and community education.
